XStream Software Releases RapidSVG™ v3.0 New version of SVG Authoring Tool contains an updated interface and additional features. OTTAWA, Canada, May 28, 2008 - XStream Software, a developer of world-class e-learning software, collaboration tools, and other technology solutions, is pleased to announce the general availability release of RapidSVG v3.0, a redesigned and enhanced version of XStream’s professional SVG authoring tool.
RapidSVG v3.0 presents developers with a completely redesigned and updated user interface, making it easier than ever to create sophisticated SVG-based web pages and animations. This new version of RapidSVG still features its familiar, coding-free authoring environment; the development of professional SVG-based web pages (containing synchronized animations, interactive components, embedded multimedia elements, and more) is accomplished exclusively with drag-and-drop editing tools and property settings. However, in addition, the modernized user interface offers a fresh new look with a more straightforward layout, simplified & functional workspace, and tab-based menus and tools for easier access.
RapidSVG v3.0 also includes new capabilities for importing Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files and Windows Metafile (WMF) files; these types of files can now be imported into a RapidSVG project as SVG pages. In addition, RapidSVG v3.0 is now compliant with the SCORM 2004 e-learning standard (and also continues its support for the SCORM v1.2 e-learning standard). Therefore, a project created in RapidSVG can be saved as a SCORM 2004 or v1.2 course package and deployed through any Learning Management System (LMS) that supports SCORM 2004 or v1.2.
