RapidExam v3.0 Deluxe is XStream Software’s 100% Programming-free Assessment and Certification Authoring technology. It enables developers to create, customize, and deploy interactive question-based assessments (including certifications, exams, proficiency tests, quizzes, questionnaires, surveys, etc.) with full scoring, tracking, and analysis/reporting capabilities.

Using RapidExam's multimedia drag-and-drop edit suite, users may build online exams/assessments that feature splash screens, login screens, pre-test introduction screens, 12 different question styles (including true or false, multiple choice, check list, hot spot, drag and drop, match list, fill-in-the-blanks, essay, combo box, edit combo box, list box, and matrix), built-in progress & scoring reports, exam achievement/completion certificates, and post-test ending feedback/content screens.

RapidExam also includes a comprehensive authoring wizard for step-by-step assembly of questions and other components/elements of an assessment. Using a simple series of screens, the intuitive wizard guides the developer through each of the steps involved in creating and/or modifying an interactive assessment. When creating an assessment, the developer has the flexibility to either use the automated wizard or manually perform the authoring using the tools provided in RapidExam.

Each screen and question created in RapidExam can be enhanced with a host of multimedia features, including images (both static and animated), audio, video, Flash files, recorded voice-overs and sound clips, navigational hyperlinks, links to external files and web pages, mouse pointer animations, instruction boxes, status bars, colors, shapes, and a lot more.

Once created, exams may be saved in a variety of different media formats, including EXM (native file format), XML, EXE, IMS QTI, and SCORM. Saved exams can be deployed over the Web, over a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN), and on CD-ROM. In addition, online exams may be converted into traditional printed (paper-based) exams.

RapidExam works with XStream RapidShare™ Learning Management System (LMS), which is XStream's secure, wide-ranging and completely web-based LMS module within the XStream RapidShare hosted web environment and digital workspace. XStream RapidShare LMS works with XStream's RapidBuilder, RapidExam, Performance Analyzer, and RapidGuide technologies. The LMS includes full capabilities for registering, tracking, and reporting on learning content files created with RapidBuilder, RapidExam, Performance Analyzer, and RapidGuide. The LMS module can also schedule, track, and report on Offline Events of all types (such as instructor-led training sessions, meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, trade shows, etc.), and it provides many other features and capabilities, including e-mail notifications, extensive reporting capabilities, self-registration capabilities, learning paths, course catalogs, prerequisite definitions, bookmarking capabilities, offline exam generation, interface customization, archiving capabilities, 508 compliance, multi-language support, optional communication and collaboration capabilities, and more.
